The President of Ogoni Liberation Initiative, Reverend Dr. Douglas Fabeke has commenced the implementation of access to clean water project in community secondary school, Buako in Khana LGA of Rivers State.
Dr. Fabeke who also doubled as the Coordinator of United Mission For Rural And Urban African Community Empowerment on his official Facebook page, said the water project contained about 20,000-litre of water.
Reverend Dr. Fabeke who is also a former student of community secondary school Buako said, the water project is aimed at improving the living standard of students of the school and will ensure effective teaching and learning environment as well as to curb the spread of water-borne diseases and other communicable diseases among the students.
The President of Ogoni Liberation Initiative also said the NGO planned to sponsor brilliant children and the less privileged from secondary to tertiary levels, Fabeke said.
Our correspondent reports that both the principals of senior and junior secondary of community secondary school, Buako including the teachers and students jointly expressed gratitude to the NGOs for helping to promote effective teaching and learning environment in the school.
